Overview

Scraping Geek is committed to delivering high-quality data that matches the agreed project scope. This refund policy outlines the conditions under which refunds, credits, or revisions may be issued.

Pre-Project Cancellation

If you cancel a project before work has begun, you are entitled to a full refund of any upfront payment. Cancellation requests must be submitted via email to support@scrapinggeek.com.

Cancellation After Work Begins

If you cancel a project after extraction work has started:

  • We will assess the work completed to date and provide a partial delivery if possible
  • Refunds for work already completed are not available, as resources have been allocated and extraction infrastructure has been built
  • Any unearned portion of the payment (based on the percentage of work remaining) may be refunded or credited toward a future project at our discretion

Scope Changes

If you request significant changes to the project scope after approval:

  • Minor adjustments to data fields or filters are accommodated at no additional cost
  • Substantial scope changes (new websites, doubled volume, additional data types) will be re-quoted as a new or amended project
  • You are not obligated to proceed with scope changes — the original scope remains the deliverable

Revisions

Every project includes one round of revisions at no additional cost. Revisions cover:

  • Data formatting adjustments
  • Filtering corrections
  • Re-extraction of records that didn't match the agreed specification
  • Deduplication or cleanup issues

Additional revision rounds beyond the first may be subject to a revision fee, quoted before the work is performed.

Refund Conditions

A full or partial refund may be issued if:

  • We are unable to extract the requested data due to technical limitations that were not identified during the scoping phase
  • The delivered dataset significantly deviates from the agreed project specification and cannot be corrected through the included revision round
  • The project is cancelled before any extraction work has begun

Refunds are not available for:

  • Change of mind after data has been delivered according to the agreed scope
  • Third-party website changes that occur after extraction but before the revision window closes
  • Data that matches the agreed specification but does not meet unstated expectations

Recurring Projects

For recurring extraction projects (weekly, monthly, or custom schedule):

  • You may cancel future deliveries with 7 days' notice before the next scheduled extraction
  • Refunds for deliveries already completed are not available
  • Any prepaid credits for future deliveries will be refunded in full

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us at support@scrapinggeek.com with your project reference number and a description of the issue. We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days.
